Topher Grace went to Brewster Academy in New Hampshire and also attended a boarding school in Massachusetts as a teenager. While in school, he acted in plays like Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and The Pirates of Penzance.

During the summers, he attended a theater camp, where he met actress Chloë Sevigny. Interestingly, Chloë, who was four years older and also from Darien, used to babysit him when they were younger.
