He went to Shrine Vailankanni Senior Secondary School in Chennai and St. Joseph’s Boys School in Coonoor. When his family moved to Kerala, he joined NSS Public School in Perunthanni.
Later, he went to St. Mary’s Residential Central School in Poojappura, where he performed in plays and skits for the school’s Annual Day.
He completed his education at Sainik School in Kazhakootam and Bhavan’s Senior Secondary School in Kodunganoor. He was also active in debates and elocution competitions in school.

Prithviraj started his acting career with the hit film Nandanam in 2002. After facing a slump in his career, he made a strong comeback with Classmates in 2006, which became the highest-grossing Malayalam film of that year.
In 2010, Prithviraj joined the production company August Cinema, where he co-produced and starred in films like Urumi and Indian Rupee (2011). Indian Rupee won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam and the Kerala State Film Award for Best Film.
He won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Villain for Kaaviya Thalaivan (2014) and had more success with Ennu Ninte Moideen (2015) and Ezra (2017).
