Lynn Ban, a Singaporean jewelry designer and star of the Netflix series Bling Empire: New York, passed away on January 20, 2025, at the age of 52.
She had suffered a skiing accident in Aspen, Colorado, in late December and underwent brain surgery. Her son, Sebastian, shared the sad news on her Instagram account.

She was Born on 27 May 1972, in Singapore, Lynn lived and worked in New York, London, and Paris. Her extensive travels to exotic and cosmopolitan destinations shaped her unique sense of fashion, design, and adventure.
Her work and jewelry were featured in top fashion magazines like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, and W Magazine.
Lynn’s designs were worn by celebrities such as Rihanna, Beyoncé, Madonna, Cardi B, Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, and Kendrick Lamar.
She also collaborated with Rihanna on jewelry for tours, videos, and her Fenty Puma collections.

Lynn Ban, a star of Bling Empire: New York and a well-known jewelry designer, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025, at the age of 52.
In December 2024, Lynn shared on Instagram that she had been in a skiing accident during a family vacation in Aspen, Colorado, on Christmas Eve.
She explained that she fell after catching a ski tip at the top of the mountain, which led to a serious head injury requiring emergency brain surgery (craniotomy).
Lynn posted a photo of herself in a hospital bed with stitches on her head, detailing the incident.
Her death was later confirmed by her teenage son, Sebastian, in an Instagram post shared on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

Lynn Ban Husband & Parents
Lynn lived in New York City but would travel to Singapore every summer to visit her parents, who lived in a large estate on Orchard Road. She was born in Singapore, and when she was 4, her family moved to New York City.
Later, they moved to Hong Kong before returning to Singapore because of her father’s job as a banker. Lynn finally settled back in New York City after finishing her studies at the Singapore American School in 1989.
Before starting her jewelry business, Lynn opened a fashion boutique called The Lynn Ban Vintage in 2002. She sold carefully selected couture pieces from famous brands like Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, and Valentino, mainly from the 60s to 90s.
