Jaskaran Singh Aujla, popularly known as Karan Aujla, was born on January 18, 1997 in Ghurala village in Ludhiana district, Punjab. He lost his parents, Balwinder Singh Aujla and Rajinder Kaur, when he was just nine years old.

After their demise, he was raised by his sisters and uncle. While in the 9th grade, Aujla met singer Jassi Gill at a wedding and gave him the lyrics for the song Range, which became a hit. Later, he moved to Canada after obtaining permanent residency and completed high school in Burnaby.

He also worked part-time as a longshoreman in Surrey, British Columbia. Karan’s music career began in 2014 with the song Cell Phone, which also featured Mac Benipal, but it did not garner much attention.

In Canada, he began working closely with producer Deep Jandu at a studio in Toronto. On March 2, 2023, Karan married his longtime girlfriend Palak Aujla.

His net worth is estimated to be around ₹108 crores and he earns ₹7-8 lakhs per song. He also earns money from brand endorsements, his record label, and clothing line. His concert fee in India is around Rs 16 Crore.
