Hirdesh Singh, popularly known as Yo Yo Honey Singh or Honey Singh, is an Indian music producer, composer, rapper, pop singer, musician, and actor. He began his career as a session and recording artist and later became a Bhangra and hip-hop music producer. In the 2010s, he was also popularly called the “Bluetooth King”.

Honey Singh was born on 15 March 1983 in Hoshiarpur, Punjab to a Sikh family. His father is Sarabjit Singh and his mother is Bhupinder Kaur. He has a sister named Sneha Singh. He attended Guru Nanak Public School in New Delhi for his education.
Owing to his passion for music, Honey Singh studied at Trinity College of Music in the UK. After completing his studies, he moved to Delhi in search of better career opportunities. He started as a recording artist and Bhangra music producer. He got success in 2006 when he won the ETC Award for Best Sound for his song Glassy.
