He went to Jai Hind College for his schooling and graduated from Boston College in Massachusetts, USA. He then completed an MBA in Operations and Strategic Management.
After finishing his studies, Anupam worked as a product manager at MicroStrategy. His personal experience with a matrimonial consultant gave him the idea to start Sagai.com in 1997, which later became Shaadi.com, the first online matrimonial portal of its kind.
