Shiva Rajkumar, whose real name is Nagaraju Shiva Puttaswamy, is an Indian actor, producer, and TV host. He mainly works in Kannada films and has acted in more than 120 films in his career spanning over 30 years.

Shiva Rajkumar was born in Madras (now Chennai), Tamil Nadu. He is the eldest of five children of actor Rajkumar and filmmaker Parvathamma. His native language is Kannada. He has two brothers: Raghavendra, who is a filmmaker, and Puneeth, who is also an actor. Shiva studied in T. Nagar, Chennai, and later graduated from New College, Chennai in 1983.
After finishing college, he joined an acting school in Chennai and also took training in Kuchipudi dance from Vempet Chinni Satyam. He started his career in Kannada films with the film Anand.
Shiva Rajkumar is married to Geetha, daughter of former Karnataka Chief Minister Sarkoppa Bangarappa. They have two daughters, Niveditha and Nirupama.
He was the brand ambassador of Royal Challengers Bangalore during the 11th season of the IPL and now represents Nandini Milk Products. Interestingly, when the Maruti 800 car was first launched in 1983, he was the second Kannada actor to buy it.
