He played his first first-class cricket match for Madhya Pradesh in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy on November 25, 2017. In January 2018, he was picked by the Rajasthan Royals during the IPL auction.
In November 2018, he scored his first century in first-class cricket. In 2019, he took a break from cricket to focus on his mental health. Before the 2020 IPL auction, the Rajasthan Royals let him go. His only first-class match was against Odisha on November 25, 2017.
In the C.K. Nayudu Trophy, he scored 795 runs in 6 matches, with an average of 79.50. He was named “Man of the Match” twice in the U-23 series: once for his 153 runs against Odisha and once for scoring 137 and 43 runs against Uttar Pradesh.
